Welcome

Hello hi! Welcome to this space that I call Mare. My name is Marita and I’m marked by a deep passion to create beautiful things in this world. I think art is best when it can be experienced in a tangible way, and that is exactly what I desire to foster with Mare. 

The vision behind Mare holds really wide boundaries (on purpose). Creative burnout is something I'm no stranger to, and my goal to combat that with Mare is two-fold.

For myself: I don't want to be bound within a box of what style or type of pieces I can create. A large portion will be clothing design and sewing because that is an avenue of art that I love thoroughly. But nothing else is off the table.

For others: to share and ignite inspiration! Inspiration is contagious. When one shares their creations it sparks a ripple effect and impacts those it touches. None of us are in competition! That's the really beautiful thing about art. There's acres of space on this big earth for all of us to express and share the way we see beautiful things.     

So that's the vision of Mare! To see, create, share, and sell many different capacities of art. To maximize innovation and minimize waste. And most of all, to share and gain inspiration from everyone around.
